The Northside Coalition of Jacksonville, Jacksonville NOW and other progressive organizations will hold a Motorcade Caravan for Justice on Saturday, May 30 at 3 p.m. to speak out against racism and in support of police accountability.
The caravan will assemble in the vacant lot across the street from the Police Memorial Building on E. Bay Street.
Organizers, including local civil rights groups and pastors, are calling attention to police treatment of African Americans in Jacksonville and around the country. The caravan was sparked by the recent tragic death of George Floyd in Minnesota. The groups are also calling for additional investigation of six local deaths that resulted from police action.
