We Keep Learning
One of BAM's top priorities is to keep ourselves and our neighbors informed about the people and issues shaping our state and nation.
Our quarterly meetings most often take place at Adele Grage Community Center in Atlantic Beach, and sometimes via Zoom. Where recordings are available, you can click links below to see them.

Our Focus for 2024
Here's what we are working on now:
-
Educate & motivate Duval progressives to turn out and vote for like-minded leadership in this year's elections.
-
Speak out during the Florida Legislative session; write and call our representatives and address our neighbors via Letters to the Editor on the issues that matter most to us: education, gun violence, abortion rights, and LGBTQ protections, and voting rights.
-
Turn out to support quality public education and oppose efforts to ban books, roll back support for LGBTQ students, and to undermine intellectual freedom at all levels.
-
Promote vote-by-mail registration & renewals through texting, phonebanking and postcarding.
-
Strengthen & expand our partnerships with local groups who share our values.
-
Support local, state and national candidates who align with our progressive values.
