Congratulations Beaches Activists!
Though the last votes are still being counted, Joe Biden & Kamala Harris will be our next President & Vice President! And everyone reading this email deserves a share in the celebrations. Together we have registered voters, written postcards, phoned, texted, demonstrated, donated, lit dropped, waved signs, educated voters, cured votes, petitioned our elected officials, and, much more. Working in concert with other progressives here in Duval, across Florida, and nationwide, BAM played an important part in giving Joe Biden the largest popular vote
in presidential history, and electing the nation's first woman Vice President. And though we wanted to add Florida to their vote count, we played an active role in an essential local victory: For the first time in more than 4 decades, Duval County went blue in a Presidential election! Many thanks to everyone who has stayed involved through divisive and discouraging times - pouring hours of time, energy, and personal passion into this remarkable victory. There's obviously plenty of work still to do. We had some terrific candidates who didn't get the victories we'd hoped for. We'll continue working with them and our partner organizations to keep building the progressive voice in Florida. For now, celebrations & congratulations are in order. So plan to join BAM's Celebration Zoom this coming Thursday night (11/12) - at our usual 7 pm. More details coming soon. SAVE THE DATE and plan to join our virtual party.
