❌👑Vote Early & More - Action Alert, October 19, 2026
Early Voting Starts Tuesday!Â

Polls open at 8 am on Tuesday, October 20th, at early voting sites throughout Duval County, including the Beaches Branch Library and the Jax Beach Community Center. Early voting sites are open from 8 am to 6 pm this week, and from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Times are extended the following week (7 am to 7 pm weekdays; weekends 9 am to 5 pm). Voters can cast their ballots at any of Jacksonville's 24 early voting locations. Voters can also return their mail-in ballots to a secure drop box at these sites.Â
Vote now and encourage your neighbors, friends, and family to do the same! Early voting is the safest and most flexible option for casting your ballot, reducing potential problems on Election Day when voters must vote at their designated precincts and mail ballots must be returned to the Supervisor of Elections' Office downtown. Take a minute to check your voting status. If you are on the list, you are eligible to vote! Find information about early voting, including ID requirements and more here. Have questions about candidates or down-ballot races and issues? Don't forget the BAM Election Guide!
Help Get Out the Vote! Sign Wave During Early Voting

No Kings: Vote Early was a resounding success last weekend, but Saturday was just the beginning! BAM and other members of the Jax No Kings Coalition have pledged to help Get-Out-The-Vote with visibility events, including sign waving and other activities, during all 13 days of early voting.
We need your help! BAM and partner groups, the Neptune Beach Coalition and Jax NOW, have adopted two early voting sites: the Beaches Branch Library and Pablo Creek Library. Our goal is to have sign-wavers at these locations during peak drive times to remind people to vote early! If you have an hour or so any day(s) during the next two weeks, sign up to join us! -- even better if you recruit a few friends to do it with you!  Email Dede for information about Pablo Creek activities, or BAM for our plans at the Beaches Library. We have signs!
Like-minded groups are working across Duval County. Interested in visibility activities at other early voting sites? Use this form to volunteer or host a pop-up protest of your own!
At the Beach, We Say No Kings: Vote Early!
Northeast Florida was part of the nation's largest mass voter mobilization in history last weekend, staging No Kings: Vote Early protests and rallies throughout the area, and a downtown Rally and Voter Fest to kick off two weeks of voter engagement efforts.
At the Beach, BAM joined with the Neptune Beach Coalition for a morning Hands Off Our Vote protest that drew more than 300 participants. Sign wavers stretched south down 3rd Street from the Beaches Library, almost reaching Florida Boulevard. Thanks to everyone who came out --- especially our wonderful volunteers who (wo)maned the BAM table, served as medics and safety marshals, and kept us motivated with wonderful music!
Two follow-up actions this week:
Protect free speech. Unfortunately, No Kings was muffled by the antics of Meta, which froze the No Kings Instagram account at the peak of the protest. Social media has been a key tool for the No Kings movement -- it is used to amplify activities and build community around the country. No Kings partner Common Cause has launched a petition demanding Meta and other social media companies take action to protect free speech to prevent incidents like this in the future. Add your name and lend your support to this effort.
Get ready for what comes next. Join the No Kings movement on Wednesday, October 21st  at 8 pm to talk about the final push for voter turnout, as well as what happens post-election in the event of election interference: how they're preparing for election enforcement, and how you can start to plan now to be ready to help protect the results of the election. RSVP for the virtual meeting here.
Enjoy a few photos from the Beaches No Kings protest on Saturday! And click here for some amazing drone footage of the event (thanks to the handiwork of Scott Arnold!). View Action News coverage of the downtown rally here and rally photos from the FL Times Union here. It was a great day, and we'll be back at the library at 10 am next week for our regular Saturday protest!Â
