No Kings: Vote Early is Saturday!
Beaches Protest & Downtown Rally

On Saturday, October 17th, No Kings kicks off with the largest mass mobilization in history to protect the vote and demonstrate that power belongs to the people!
More than 2,000 local actions are planned across the country to motivate voters and ensure midterm turnout is too big to rig.
At the Beach, join us for the Hands Off Our Vote protest at the Beaches Library from 10 am to noon. We'll be forming a human chain from the library to Florida Boulevard to remind people that WE DECIDE! Then at 2 p.m., join fellow activists from around the city at the Duval County Courthouse for the No Kings Rally & Voter Fest as we organize to win and fight back against MAGA efforts to derail the midterm election. Early voting begins here in Duval on October 20 - just one week away - and November 3 is just 23 days away. Now is our time to act. Recruit three friends and join No Kings: Vote Early on Saturday! Click to RSVP & get more info.Â
Help With No Kings! We Need Volunteers!
Volunteer to be a Medic or Safety Marshal. We need volunteers with a medical background or First Aid Training to serve as medics during the No Kings: Vote Early morning library protest and afternoon rally downtown. Active license not required. We also need volunteers for the safety marshal team to assist Peacekeepers at the events. Training provided. Email us if you can help!
Table for BAM. We need volunteers to help distribute information and staff a table for BAM at both the Beach Library protest and the afternoon rally at the courthouse downtown. Email us if you can help!
Sign Wave During Early Voting. Saturday is just the beginning! Early Voting starts in Jacksonville on the following Monday, October 20th and runs through November 1st. Our goal is to have sign wavers at every Early Voting site in the city during peak drive times during these 13 days. Join the Neptune Beach Coalition and BAM at the Beaches Library or organize your friends and adopt a site near you! We have signs! Email us, and we'll give you the details!
Donate! Help Support No Kings. This is a tough time to make an ask, but if you can donate $10 or $20 to help defray the costs of organizing and executing No Kings: Vote Early, we'd appreciate your support. We can do a lot with a little! Click here for the donation link.

Ballot Party Fun!
We had a great time at the BAM Ballot Party last week! We learned about down-ballot races, amendments, and referenda --- and had some fun doing it. Thanks to our terrific resource people: Rhona DiCamillo, LWV First Coast president; BAM member and attorney Dee Reiter; and local teacher Chris Walker. Thanks to Lyn Lazarus and Kris Matson for assisting participants with sign-making for No Kings too.  It was an informative and engaging evening! And last but not least, congratulations to Denyse Mahoney and Brenda Rivera, winners of Ballot Bingo and Ballot Trivia! If you missed the gathering and need help with your ballot, check out the BAM online Election Guide.
