Holiday Festivities & Giving

While we all wanted more Florida-based victories at the polls than we got this year, one obvious 2022 bright spot was our growing collaborations with other groups. Working with WEN & DWIN, BAM helped create a Citizens Guide to Redistricting which provided information & questions used by more than half the people who testified at public hearings here in Duval - testimony that helped lay the legal groundwork for the continuing court challenges to the County's biased redistricting maps. We held Zoom meetings with Mandarin Indivisible, registered voters with the League of Women Voters, NOW, and others; waved signs with Moms Demand Action, Equality Florida & others, canvassed with Beaches Democratic Club - and too much more to list.
So it made sense to BAM's Board and the leaders of many of these other groups to join forces and celebrate this vibrant network we are part of and the work we've done together this year. Please plan to join the festivities on Friday, December 16. Party with old friends & make new ones. We'll have many cars going from the Beach, so email if you want a ride. And bring a contribution of food or drink (we'll provide a bit more guidance next week) - and a toy for a kid whose Christmas needs a boost. RSVP here.
If you can't make it to the party on the 16th, but would like to donate a toy, we'll have some BAM members at Adele Grage the evening of Thursday, December 8, from 7-8 PM who can take your donation and deliver it to the event on the 16th. New items, unwrapped please.
