The late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg was honored on Saturday by Jax advocates who called for action to delay a vote on filling her seat prior to the 2020 Presidential election.
The We Dissent memorial, sponsored by Jacksonville NOW, the Beaches Activists Movement and Jacksonville's Women's March, featured comments by newly elected judge Rhonda Peeples Waters, Former ACLU Attorney and candidate for Clerk of the Court Jimmy Midyette, and Immigration Attorney Andrea Reyes. Social justice advocates gathered on the steps of the Duval County Courthouse.
