The U.S. Senate is likely to vote on its version of the Big, Ugly Budget Bill --- markedly worse than the original House bill --- in the next 24 hours. The bill moved forward late last night after a 51-49 procedural vote following intense arm-twisting, outright vote buying (Alaska exempt from Medicaid work requirements?), and Trump's threats to punish GOP members who failed to get in line. The bill represents the largest wealth transfer in U.S. history, and includes provisions that would cut $1 trillion in healthcare for millions, including coverage for half of all children in Florida who depend on Medicaid. It also cuts SNAP, the country's largest anti-hunger program, kills the clean energy industry, blocks state regulation of AI, and reduces veteran benefits --- all to ensure tax breaks continue and expand for the wealthiest Americans and funding is bolstered for mass deportations and other MAGA priorities.  And, despite GOP smoke and mirrors, it effectively adds $4 trillion --- that's 4 followed by 12 zeroes --- to the national debt.

Take 15 minutes and call Senators Rick Scott (202.224.5274) Ashley Moody (202.224.3041) TODAY and tell them to kill the bill. Scott was a last-minute holdout on Saturday's vote, demanding even MORE cuts to Medicaid and other programs that Floridians depend on --- share your outrage.
