BAM members joined a small, but mighty group of participants at the Black Lives STILL Matter rally Friday evening at the Seawalk Pavillion in Jax Beach.
Judy Sheklin, Jacksonville Now prez and BAM member, urged the crowd to use their power at the polls and support progressive candidates committed to addressing racial inequities in health, criminal justice, education and community development.
The rally was organized by two young activist organizations:
Beaches For Change and the Social Liberation Alliance. The groups are collecting school supplies and donations for schools in underserved communities.
