Action Alert - June 14, 2022

So much is at stake right now. And there is so much to be done…[T]he important thing is to keep pushing for a better future. And never lose hope.” Adam Schiff

Find Inspiration In the January 6 Hearings

With each installment of the televised January 6 proceedings what's at stake in the political life of this country becomes more apparent. The President of the United States plotted to derail the peaceful transfer of power, despite warnings from his advisors that his claims of election fraud were false. The party that put him in power still refuses to condemn him. The state we live in still loves him. It can be very discouraging.

But this excellent piece from the Atlantic makes a compelling case the hearings should inspire us to more action. The nation stood on a knife edge of danger on January 6, 2021 and did not fall because "brave and patriotic people stood up and stopped him at the time. Brave and patriotic people are seeking to hold him to account now. Be one of them."

If you've not been watching the hearings, you can catch up here. Take heart from the serious, work that's been done to uncover the truth. Share what you learn with friends & neighbors. And remember every one of the actions each of us takes now to support democracy truly matters. Thanks to you BAM has grown to more than 450 concerned and committed citizens. Find something below that speaks to you and help us make a difference!
